Merit-Based Pricing

We help researchers secure funded admissions abroad. Our fee structure is transparent, fair, and based directly on your academic and research background.

How Our Fees Work

Our pricing is broken into two simple stages: a modest commitment fee to start (based on your profile evaluation) and a success fee payable only after you secure funded admission and visa approval. Tap each step to see when it applies.

Note: The merit discount applies specifically to our advisory fee. It is independent of external university scholarships or institutional stipends. All fees are subject to 18% GST.

The Success Fee in Perspective

Equal to one month of your admitted stipend, payable 30% on your funded offer and 70% on visa approval. Here is how that month compares with the funding you receive over your PhD.

Typical PhD length

Varies by country and programme

Our success fee: 1 month Funded months you keep: 47

Our success fee is 1 of your 48 funded months, about 2.1% of the stipend you receive over a 4-year PhD (+ 18% GST).

It is due only once you secure a funded offer. No funded offer, no success fee.

How the Score Is Calculated

Here is the transparent 100-point rubric we use to evaluate PhD profiles. Every item reflects what international admissions committees and university professors look for, and it is the same rubric the free eligibility check applies. Tap a category to see its items.

Our Service Commitments

Evaluation Before Commitment

Your profile evaluation happens before you pay anything. You commit only after you have seen how we assess your profile and where it can realistically go.

Success-Aligned Advisory

Our main advisory fee is linked directly to your result. If you do not receive a funded offer and visa approval, you do not pay any success fee.

No Hidden Costs

No university commissions, agent markups, or surprise fees. You pay institutional application fees, test registrations, and visa costs directly to the official bodies.

Pricing Questions

Is GST charged on both fees?

Yes. All EduSail Abroad fees are exclusive of GST, which is charged at the prevailing statutory rate (currently 18%) on both the commitment fee and the success fee, and shown separately on every invoice.

What counts as "one month of stipend" for the success fee?

The gross recurring monthly stipend or salary stated in your funded offer letter, before income tax. Tuition-fee waivers, one-time relocation or joining grants, travel allowances, insurance and research budgets are not counted. If the offer states an annual amount, it is divided by twelve.

How is a foreign-currency stipend converted to rupees?

At the RBI/FBIL reference rate for your offer letter date. That rupee amount is fixed for both the 30% and 70% parts, so later exchange-rate movements do not change it in either direction.

When is the success fee due?

30% within 14 calendar days of a qualifying funded offer letter, and the remaining 70% within 14 calendar days of your visa approval.

What if I receive an offer but my visa is not approved?

The 70% visa-approval part does not become payable. The 30% offer-letter part remains payable once the funded offer has been received.

What if I receive more than one funded offer?

The success fee is calculated on the stipend of the funded offer you accept.

What do I pay directly to universities and authorities?

University application fees, test registrations, visa fees and travel costs are paid by you directly to the official bodies. EduSail Abroad takes no university commissions or agent markups.
