About the project
The University of Rochester's Biochemistry & Molecular Biology PhD program says it is fully funded. Full-time PhD students get a full tuition scholarship covering all academic fees and a stipend, which for 2027-2028 is US$35, 800 a year on a 12-month appointment. Single student health insurance is also included. The program admits only in the fall and takes about 10-15 new students a year, chosen after interviews. The full application is due 1 December 2026. Applications sent by 15 November 2026 get an automatic fee waiver. The GRE is optional. Applicants whose first language is not English need TOEFL, IELTS or Duolingo scores. Final-year undergraduates can apply if their degree is awarded before they start.
