About the project
NTU's School of Social Sciences is taking PhD applications for the August 2027 intake in four areas: Economics, Psychology, Sociology, and Public Policy & Global Affairs. Applicants can request the NTU Research Scholarship on the same form. If awarded, it pays the annual tuition fee plus a monthly stipend for up to four years. NTU sets the international PhD stipend at S$3, 000 a month, and scholars may get up to S$500 more after passing the qualifying exam. International scholars must do teaching or lab-supervision duties under NTU's Graduate Assistantship Programme. The school also offers conference and research funding and access to campus housing. Applicants are encouraged to contact professors first and to prepare a research proposal. The scholarship is competitive and not guaranteed with admission.
